Delete your Cookmory account
Last reviewed: August 28, 2026
You can permanently delete your Cookmory account and the personal data associated with it.
If you cannot sign in, request deletion from the email address associated with your Cookmory account.
How to delete your account
- Sign in to Cookmory and open Settings.
- In the Delete account section, select Delete account…
- Enter your current password, type DELETE to confirm, and confirm the final prompt.
- If you cannot sign in, use the email request button above. We will use the account email address to help verify the request.
Delete specific data without deleting your account
You can delete individual recipes and other removable content directly in Cookmory without deleting your account. Open the item you want to remove and use the Delete option. Deleting individual content does not delete your Cookmory account.
What will be deleted
- Your Cookmory authentication account and profile, including account email, display name, language, plan and payment-request status.
- Your recipes and associated ingredients, steps, notes, favorites, custom tags, folders, imports, recipe revisions, cooking history, public recipe and shopping-list links, and stored recipe images and other files under your private storage path.
- Your personal meal plans, saved shopping lists and items, shopping preferences, and staples.
- Your membership of a Family space and data you created in it, including your family notes, cooking events, revisions, and shared shopping lists created by you.
- Problem reports submitted while signed in and their attachments.
Family spaces
If you are a Family member, deleting your account removes your membership and your account data. Other members keep their accounts and their own recipes. If you own a Family space, deleting your account also deletes that Family space, including its memberships, invitations, shared meal-planning data, and shared shopping lists. Other members keep their individual accounts and recipes, but will no longer be members of that Family space.
Data that may be retained
The application removes account-linked records and files when deletion succeeds. A limited subscription entitlement audit event may remain with its account references removed, and separate security and rate-limit records may remain to protect the service. Cookmory also states that backups may be retained as necessary. The current project does not define a retention period for these records or backups, so no specific deletion timeframe is promised here.
