Delete Your Cookmory Account

You can delete your account and its associated data through Cookmory. Deleting the account from the active system cannot be undone. Independent technical logs and backups may have different retention conditions, as explained below.

How to delete your account

1. Sign in and open Settings.
2. Find the Delete account section and choose the deletion option.
3. Enter your password if prompted, type the confirmation word displayed in your language on the deletion screen, and accept the final confirmation.
4. If you cannot sign in, request deletion using your account email address: Send a deletion request. We may ask for information necessary to verify the request.

Delete content without deleting the account

You can delete recipes and other items that have a deletion option in the app. Deleting one item does not delete your entire account.

Data affected by account deletion

Deletion covers your authentication account and profile; associated recipes, ingredients, instructions, notes, favorites, tags, folders, files and images; import data and revisions; meal plans, shopping lists, preferences and associated public links; and problem reports linked to the account. Shared data or data belonging to other people is handled in accordance with family-space permissions and ownership.

Family spaces

If you are a member of a family space, deleting your account ends your membership and removes data linked to your account. Other members retain their own accounts and recipes. If you own and administer a family space, deleting your account also removes that space, its memberships, invitations, shared meal plans and shared shopping lists. Other members retain their own accounts and recipes but cease to be members of the deleted space.

Data that may remain temporarily

After the account is removed from the active application, limited security or audit records and backups that still contain earlier data may remain for the period justified by their purpose.
