1. Who is responsible for your data
Operator: Artur Mukhamatkhaev, Rua das Amoras 174, 2775-549 Cascais, Portugal. Contact: support@cookmory.com.
2. Data we process
- Account email, user ID, display name, language and plan status.
- Recipes, ingredients, steps, tags, folders, meal plans, notes, family-space data and shopping lists.
- Optimized recipe images allowed by the user’s plan, up to 250 KiB each; original import images are not retained.
- Problem reports, optional screenshots, security and rate-limit information.
- Analytics information only after consent when Google Analytics is configured.
3. Why we process data
We process data to provide the service and requested features, maintain security, prevent abuse, diagnose problems, and comply with legal obligations.
4. Recipe, image, PDF, OCR, URL, and translation processing
Image OCR, PDF cookbook reading, and requested recipe translations run in the browser where supported. The browser may download a local language pack. Original import files, temporary translations, and generated PDF exports are not stored by Cookmory. A translation is stored only if you choose Save as a copy. URL import temporarily retrieves a public page to extract recipe information. When you click the Cookmory toolbar button, the browser extension reads the URL of the active tab and sends it over HTTPS to Cookmory solely to start the recipe import you requested. The extension does not continuously monitor browsing, read webpage content, collect credentials, or store browsing history. The URL is not sold, used for advertising, or shared with third parties for their own purposes. Stored recipe images are compressed to WebP, limited to 250 KiB each, and kept privately in Supabase. PDF import is available on all plans; PDF cookbook export is available on Pro.
5. Sharing and family features
Anyone with an active public link may view its shared content. Links can be revoked. Family members share the family meal plan and shopping list, while each recipe remains editable only by its owner.
6. Service providers
- Supabase: authentication, database and private object storage.
- OVHcloud: application hosting.
- Google Analytics: optional usage analytics, only after consent and only when configured.
7. Google Analytics
Google Analytics is disabled until you give consent. You may withdraw consent through Cookie settings. Cookmory does not intentionally send recipe text, email addresses, or user-generated content to analytics.
8. Retention
Account data is kept while the account exists. Deleted recipes remain recoverable for the displayed recycle-bin period before removal. Problem reports are kept as reasonably needed to investigate them. Account deletion removes associated application records and stored user files, subject to necessary security records and backups.
9. Security
Cookmory uses access controls, private storage, Row Level Security, validation and rate limits. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.
10. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or objection, withdraw consent, and complain to the Portuguese supervisory authority (CNPD). Contact support@cookmory.com.
11. Children
Cookmory is not directed to children who cannot lawfully consent to data processing in their country.
12. Changes
Material changes will be published here with an updated effective date.
